Wendel was named co-captain for the 2014 team. She moved into fourth place on the school’s career-list for most assists with 3,021.
2013: Started in 33 of 34 total matches … named a PSAC Scholar-Athlete … received the NCAA Division II Athletics Directors Association (ADA) Academic Achievement Award … selected All-PSAC Second Team and All-Atlantic Region Honorable Mention for the second straight year … nearly broke her own Gannon’s single-season assist mark, finishing with 1,273 after totaling 1,276 the previous year … totaled 50 assists or more five times, including a season-high 57 in a five-set win at Lock Haven … racked up a career-best six block assists against Lock Haven … dug a career-best 18 balls at California (Pa.) … averaged nearly 12 assists per set as the Lady Knights defeated Seton Hill and California (Pa.) to clinch a berth in the PSAC Tournament … dished out 47 assists and picked up 10 digs in the Lady Knights’ upset-win over Clarion in the PSAC Tournament quarterfinals.
