Gannon volleyball outside hitter Nehir Yazicioglu has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Offensive Athlete of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.

Yazicioglu powered Gannon to a perfect 2–0 weekend as the Golden Knights swept both Indiana (Pa.) and Pitt-Johnstown at the Highmark Events Center. She totaled 26 kills (4.33 per set) while hitting .368 across six sets, adding six service aces, 20 digs, and four blocks while averaging 5.5 points per set.

In the weekend opener against IUP, Yazicioglu posted 11 kills, 11 digs, and four aces before erupting for 15 kills on .464 hitting in Saturday’s sweep of Pitt-Johnstown. Her balanced effort helped Gannon extend its win streak to six straight, record its fifth consecutive sweep, and improve to 4–0 at home while snapping UPJ’s five-match win streak.

The honor marks the first PSAC weekly award of the season for Yazicioglu and the second earned by a Gannon volleyball player this fall.
