ERIE, Pa. — Gannon women's soccer sophomore midfielder
Olivia Dixon (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) and football redshirt senior linebacker
Keoke Toomer (Indianapolis, Ind./Ben Davis) have been named the Gannon Athletes of the Week following standout performances for the Golden Knights.
Dixon matched her career high with two goals to help lead Gannon in its PSAC West matchup at California (Pa.).
The sophomore midfielder found the back of the net twice as the Golden Knights picked up an important conference result. It marked the second two-goal performance of Dixon's career after she previously scored twice against Edinboro on Oct. 29, 2025.
Dixon's performance continued a strong start to her sophomore campaign and helped Gannon move to 2-2-1 in PSAC West play.
Toomer made Gannon football history during the Golden Knights' PSAC crossover matchup at Shepherd.
The redshirt senior linebacker recovered a fumble in the end zone and raced 100 yards for a touchdown, setting a new Gannon record for the longest fumble return in program history. Toomer broke the previous record of 99 yards set by Keith Thompson against Clarion in 2021.
The historic touchdown came in the fourth quarter and pulled the Golden Knights within three points at 31-28.
Toomer also finished the contest with six tackles to contribute to the Gannon defense.
