LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Gannon University freshman Miranda Biles (Hartstown, Pa./Jamestown Area) has been named the PSAC West Pitcher of the Week, the conference office announced.
Biles turned in a dominant performance in the circle to help lead the Golden Knights to a 3-2 week. She posted a 2-0 record with a 0.46 ERA across three appearances, tossing 15.1 innings while allowing just one earned run. She struck out 15 batters and threw two complete-game shutouts, anchoring a pitching staff that limited opponents throughout the week.
On the season, Biles has recorded four wins in the circle while pitching a team-high 76.0 innings. She leads the staff with 64 strikeouts and is holding opposing batters to a .298 average.
The honor marks Gannon's third PSAC West weekly award of the season and the first of Biles' career, as the Golden Knights continue to make their mark in conference play.
