The Gannon University Acrobatics and Tumbling team has been picked No. 9 in the 2026 National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) Top-15 Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced by the association on Friday.
The Golden Knights move up one spot after finishing 10th in last year's final poll.
10-time defending national champion Baylor earned 39 first-place votes to claim the top spot in the poll, while No. 2 Oregon and No. 3 Quinnipiac each earned two votes apiece.
They are followed in the top five by No. 4 Iona and No. 5 Augustana.
Gannon's 2026 schedule will provide an immediate test for first-year head coach Addy Womeldorph, as the Golden Knights are slated to face five teams ranked in the top-10 of the preseason poll (Oregon, Quinnipiac, Fairmont State, Duquesne, and UMHB) along with one additional opponent ranked inside the top 15 (Glenville State).
Six of the nine teams on Gannon's schedule are nationally ranked.
The Golden Knights open the season on Monday, February 9 at 5 p.m. on the road against No. 3 Quinnipiac. The meeting marks a rematch from last season when the Bobcats defeated Gannon 267.395–255.315 inside the Highmark Events Center.
Gannon will make its home debut on Friday, February 20 at 7 p.m. when it hosts No. 7 Duquesne for the Alumni Appreciation Meet inside the Highmark Events Center.
Last season, the Golden Knights finished 3–5 overall and competed against four teams ranked in the top 10 (Fairmont State, Oregon, Frostburg State, and Quinnipiac) and two teams ranked inside the top 15 (Augustana and Duquesne), with six of their eight opponents holding national rankings.
