LOCK HAVEN, Pa. –  Mia Slater (Canberra, Australia/Canberra Grammar School) has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week following a standout performance in conference play.

It marks the first Athlete of the Week honor of Slater's career and the second this season for the No. 5 Gannon women's basketball program.

Slater led the Golden Knights to a 2–0 PSAC road week, helping improve Gannon to 8–0 in PSAC action and 16–1 overall, while extending the team's winning streak to 15 games.

She averaged 18.0 points per game while shooting an efficient 15-for-21 from the field across victories at Edinboro and California (Pa.).

The junior 6-foot-2 post from Canberra, Australia, scored 20 points in Gannon's overtime win at Edinboro before adding 16 points in an 82–46 road victory at California (Pa.).

In addition to her scoring, Slater averaged 7.5 rebounds per game while contributing two blocks and one steal on the week.

Slater's efficient offensive production and all-around impact helped the No. 5 Gannon women's basketball program remain unbeaten in PSAC play as the Golden Knights continued their strong start to conference action.
