Acrobatics & Tumbling Drops Western Road Trip Finale to Oregon

EUGENE, ORE - Despite a strong start, Gannon saw their season record drop to 2-4 overall after a 276.565-263.465 defeat at the hands of Oregon. The Golden Knights now get set to return home on March 22nd to face Frostburg State.

Compulsory Event
GU jumped out to an early lead with a 37.25-37.15 triumph in the event. The Golden Knights earned a near perfect score (9.80/10) in the Pyramid heat and boasted a 9.75 in the toss heat. 

Acro Event
Similar to the compulsory event, the event remained close throughout, with the Ducks earning a 26.55-24.05 overall victory. 

Pyramid Event
Cutting into the deficit, the Golden Knights posted a strong showing, edging out a 28.85-28.60 win. A score of 9.55 in the 5-Element event was the driving force in a strong showing heading into halftime. 

Toss Event
GU earned scores of both 9.35 and 9.60 in the event, but Oregon tallied a near perfect score of their own for a 29.00-28.10 win in the event.

Tumbling Event
Oregon took the Tumbling event, 58.025-53.175. GU's best heat took place in Aerial Pass, earned a 9.700/10.

Team Event
Gannon fell short in the team event, 97.24-92.04, to fall to Oregon in the overall meet final score.
