- Top of the Podium- 133 pound standout Jerry Echevarria (Long Beach, N.Y./Long Beach) never relented en route to a title on Sunday. After winning his first two matches on Saturday, Echevarria picked up a tech fall in the quarters before a 3-2 win in the semifinal and a 6-5 come from behind decision in the championship match.
- Taking Bronze - Grant MacKay (New Castle, Pa./Laurel) secured a third place finish after a loss in the quarterfinals. He was able to win his last four matches by a combined score of 24-5, and earned a bronze finish after a forfeit in his last match.

- Team Success: After sitting in a tie for eleventh after one, GU's resilient effort on day two led to a tremendous climb up the leaderboard, as the Golden Knights tied for fourth in the team standings out of a field of 47 squads, many of which were ranked in the top 20. Their 109.5 points was tied with Tiffin and less than four points behind Central Oklahoma.
