- Jake Rolls to QF- Jake Niffenegger (Mason, Ohio/La Salle) earned back to back falls in the first two rounds of competition and had a convincing 8-2 decision in the third round to get to the final eight.
- Early Pins - 133 pound standout Jerry Echevarria (Long Beach, N.Y./Long Beach) got the fall at 5:29 in the first round and secured a 5-2 win. He is through to the quarterfinal round and will look to pick up three more wins tomorrow.
- Other QF Placements - Logan Sallot (Erie, PA/McDowell High School) (125), Grant MacKay (New Castle, Pa./Laurel) (165), Pat Jackson (184), and Joey Lyons (Wooster, Ohio/Wooster) (197) each went 2-0 or better on Saturday.
