Volleyball Ranked No. 1 in Final NCAA Atlantic Region Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA released its final Atlantic Region rankings Wednesday afternoon, listing Gannon volleyball at No. 1 heading into the postseason.

The updated regional order places Gannon at the top, followed by Indiana (Pa.) at No. 2 and East Stroudsburg at No. 3. Fairmont State is listed at No. 4, with Shepherd rounding out the top five. Wheeling appears at No. 6, Shippensburg at No. 7, and Seton Hill at No. 8, with Pitt-Johnstown and West Virginia Wesleyan closing the rankings at No. 9 and No. 10, respectively.

The Atlantic Region is represented by seven PSAC programs and three Mountain East Conference schools, with an additional automatic qualifier from the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) set to join the postseason field.

Gannon enters the postseason with a 23–6 overall record and finished PSAC action at 13–1. The Golden Knights advanced to the PSAC Semifinals after a straight-set victory over West Chester in Tuesday's quarterfinal round.

The win marked the program's ninth consecutive appearance in the PSAC Semifinals and its 16th straight PSAC Tournament berth under head coach Matt Darling. Gannon will face Pitt-Johnstown on Friday, November 21 at 5:00 p.m.

The NCAA Division II Selection Show is scheduled for Monday, November 24 at 7:30 p.m., with Atlantic Regional competition set for December 4–6.

The top seed in the Atlantic Region will host seven additional teams, with quarterfinals beginning on December 4, semifinals on December 5, and the Atlantic Regional Championship set for December 6.
