AMHERST, N.Y. – In their first true road test of the season, the No. 5 Gannon women's basketball team delivered a resilient comeback effort on Wednesday night, erasing an 11-point halftime deficit to defeat Daemen 57–50.

 It marked just the second time in the young season that the Golden Knights trailed at the half, entering the break down 34–23. Gannon responded with a dominant 36–14 second-half performance, outscoring the Wildcats 16–8 in the third and 18–8 in the fourth.

 The Golden Knights claimed their first lead of the night when Bri Claxon (South Webster, Ohio/South Webster) drilled a three-pointer at the 8:53 mark of the fourth quarter to make it 44–42, a lead they never relinquished.
