With 9:30 left in the contest,
Aubrey Pyne (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg Area) notched her first collegiate goal to help the No. 5 Golden Knights escape James Egli Field with a 1-1 draw against a physical Slippery Rock team on Wednesday evening.
Gannon came into the PSAC West matchup ranked fifth in the latest United Soccer Coaches Division Top 25, announced earlier this week.
Coach
Colin Petersen's team remains unbeaten on the season with the squad moving to 5-0-2 and are now 3-0-2 in PSAC West action, while Slippery Rock is now 3-2-3 and 0-0-2, respectively.
The draw snapped Slippery Rock's two-game shutout win streak, while The Rock's goal broke Gannon's 586 consecutive minutes (5 games) without allowing a goal.
How it Happened

- The Rock struck first in the scoreless contest at the 52:25 mark when Sydney Patrick buried the ball in the left corner of the net, just escaping an outstretched Morgan Sinan (Cranberry Twp., Pa./Seneca Valley).
- The Golden Knights knotted the score at one apiece, when a misplaced ball headed from a Slippery Rock defender landed at the feet of Pyne who collected the ball and slotted the shot in the right corner of the net to make the contest even.
