HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Golden Knights broke through early with their first shot of the match finding the back on the net as Taylor Lewis (Erie, Pa./Harbor Creek) took charge in the first three minutes of the match.  Clarion's best chance to level the score in the first half came from Abigail Sullivan but the shot went over the cross bar to keep Gannon on top.
  • Gannon kept the pressure on the defense with a shot Laurel Prokopchak (Erie, Pa./Harbor Creek) in the 59th-minute forcing a save from Brynn Markley before Kayla Bevacqua (Welland, Ontario/Notre Dame) followed up with the second goal of the match.
  • Diante Scheepers (Batavia, N.Y./Radulphus College) registered the final goal of the season as the junior completed a pass from Bevacqua, just five minutes after coming on as a substitute.
