LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Senior
Kaity Stocker (Tipp City, Ohio/Tippecanoe) has been named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division Athlete of the Week for the second time in her career, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Stocker helped Gannon to a 3-1 record last week and registered a .636 batting average. The Tipp City, Ohio native recorded a team-best seven RBI, seven hits, five runs, three home runs and one double. She also boasted a team-high 17 total bases with a 1.545 slugging percentage.
Her week was highlighted by a season-high five RBI and three runs against Edinboro in game one on March 24. She also added three hits, including two home runs to her stat line against the Fighting Scots. Stocker posted a team-best three total home runs last week to increase her career total to 28, which ties her for first place on the Gannon all-time home runs list.
