ERIE, Pa. — After seeing its 2020 season come to an abrupt halt, the Gannon women's water polo team is ready for action with a condensed 2021 schedule of games.
The Golden Knights will get things stared next weekend, and have multiple games scheduled each weekend for the next month before returning to postseason play for the first time since 2019.
2021 WOMEN'S WATER POLO SCHEDULE
Gannon will head to the Philadelphia suburbs for games against La Salle, Villanova, St. Francis (Pa.) and VMI in its opening weekend, then hit West Virginia the following weekend for action against Salem, McKendree, VMI and La Salle.
Sticking closer to home to close out March, the Knights take on Penn State Behrend and Grove City March 27-28, and have a single-day tournament at Bucknell against the Bison and Salem to start April.
The regular season concludes with a conference weekend at the Hallman Aquatics Center April 10-11.
Postseason action gets underway April 23-25 with the Western Water Polo Association tournament at McKendree.
Currently, no spectators are allowed in attendance at sporting events hosted on the Gannon campus due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Access to the facility is limited to participating teams and those workers whose duties are essential to the contest.
