Gannon will return to the field just 48 hours after a season-opening 17-14 victory over Notre Dame (Ohio), heading back to Ohio for a nonconference matchup against Ursuline. The Knights picked up five goals apiece from Courtney Young (Pittsburgh, Pa./South Fayette) and Rachel Tufts (Erie, Pa./McDowell) and an impressive three assists, five ground balls and four caused turnovers from Jess Hudak (Pittsburgh, Pa./Seton-LaSalle) in their win. Monday will be Ursuline's season opener, and the Arrows are coming off a 4-12 campaign in 2019. Palm Beach Atlantic is already 2-2 on the season, with two lopsided wins and a pair of one-goal defeats.

Gannon will cap a run of four straight weekends at tournaments to open its 2020 season this weekend, making the short trip south to Grove City. The Knights went 3-1 last weekend at the Washington & Jefferson Invitational, netting 26 goals in a win over Wittenberg, then following that up with a pair of thrilling wins over WWPA conference foes McKendree (16-15) and Salem (14-12 in overtime). A late addition to the schedule, East Stroudsburg will come to the Hammermill Center for the final regular-season event for both teams. The Warriors are in their first year of competition, and are coming off their first dual win, a 32-6 win over Springfield Tech. Gannon has four individuals — Chrystal Raine (Dallas, Texas/Liberty), Annabelle Helm (Vancouver, Wash./Union), Amara Devericks (Capistrano Beach, Calif./Corona) and Kendall McGarity (Spring Branch, Texas/Smithson Valley) — nationally ranked, while ESU boasts Tatyana Ortiz ranked.

Gannon makes the short trip across town to get its postseason started Saturday at the NCAA Super Region 1 Championships. The Golden Knights go into the tournament with nine wrestlers appearing in the final region rankings of the season, including six coming in the top three. That will be the magic number Saturday, as the top three placers at each weight will move on to next month's NCAA Championships. A full preview of the Super Regional will be available later this week.

Baseball and softball will get their spring break trips started on Sunday, March 1. Preview of those matchups will be included in next week's This Week At Gannon.
