AROUND THE LEAGUE THREE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
  1. Gannon travels to No. 6/9 Indiana (Pa.) on Saturday having won five of its last six games. In their most recent contest, the Golden Knights fell short against Mercyhurst, 56-51, in the Porreco Pride of Erie Games. Matt Johnson (Gary, Ind./Adlai E. Stevenson) paced Gannon with a team-high 15 points and a game-best seven assists.
  2. The contest will feature a battle of two of the best defensive teams in the PSAC this season. Gannon is currently positioned third in the PSAC limiting its opponents to 67.0 points per game. IUP is holding its opponents to 65.8 points per game, which ranks second in the PSAC.
  3. Gannon continues to find success from behind the three point arc this season shooting 38.1 percent, which ranks third in the PSAC. Chris Clancy (Staten Island, N.Y./St. Peter's Boys) is slotted second in the PSAC and 23rd in the nation in three point field goal percentage shooting 45.7 percent.
FACING THE TOP 25
  • Gannon is 0-2 this season when facing a top-25 ranked opponent. The Knights have not beaten a top-25 opponent since 2015 when Gannon edged California in overtime, 69-63.
FACING INDIANA
  • Gannon is 1-4 in its last five meetings with IUP. In their most recent meeting earlier this season on Jan. 11, the Knights fell short against the Crimson Hawks, 85-64. DeAnte Cisero (Chicago, Ill./Montgomery County (Ky.)) paced Gannon with a team-high 17 points to go along with three rebounds, one assist and one steal.
  • This will mark the 51st all-time meeting in a series that dates back to 1957-58. Gannon is 7-17 when facing IUP on the road and trails in the all-time series, 27-23.
SCOUTING THE CRIMSON HAWKS
  • Indiana enters the weekend on a two-game win streak and most recently edged California, 79-70.
  • The Crimson Hawks are ranked No. 6 in the D2SIDA poll and No. 9 in the NABC Coaches Poll.

  • Armoni Foster leads IUP netting 18.6 points per game, which slots him sixth in the PSAC. He has hit the 20-point scoring mark 11 times this season, including a season-high 28 points at Le Moyne on Oct. 15.
