HOW IT HAPPENED
- Mitchell scored the first points of the game on a three-pointer just seconds into the game. JCSU responded with a 12-2 run. - Obenrader scored first in the second with a layup to give Gannon 17 points, but JCSU continued their offensive momentum using an 8-0 run to distance themselves from the Knights yet again. A three-pointer from Kensey Ferguson would close the half and give JCSU their largest lead of the night at 20 points.
- Gannon continued to try to chip away at JCSU's lead, but the Bulldogs found a way to lead by 30 at the end of the third quarter. Faith Williams (Grafton, Ohio/Elyria Catholic), Koul, and Sam Pirosko (Eastlake, Ohio/Eastlake North) all hit free throws near the end of the second half to get on the board for the Knights.
