  • The Short Story: The Gannon women's soccer team suffered a 2-1 double-overtime loss to Lock Haven Saturday afternoon in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action. In the loss, Vanessa Coccurello (Hamilton, Ontario/St. Jean de Brebeuf) netted her first-career goal.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Gannon got out to a 1-0 lead in the 34th minute when Coccurello played in a pass from Maddie North (Leysdown-on-Sea, England/The Westlands School), who intercepted a free kick into the box by Kayla Bevacqua (Welland, Ontario/Notre Dame).
  • With 8:08 left in regulation, LHU's Marah Foltz beat the Gannon defense and tied it up with her fifth goal of the season.
  • Foltz scored the golden goal 3:52 into the second overtime period to win it for the Bald Eagles.
 
GAME NOTES
  • Coccurello scored Gannon's lone goal in the loss.
  • North and Bevacqua each recorded their fourth assist of the season.
