  • Gumbita allowed her first run of the season in the third inning. Lake Erie cracked a lead-off single and worked the runner over to third before another single brought her home.
  • Gannon took until the sixth inning to score its first run of the game.
  • Jackie Martinez (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier College Prep) recorded a two-out single and had the speedy Rachel Tanilli (Gibsonia, Pa./Deer Lakes) come into pinch run.
  • Tanilli stole second, followed by a Jen Moran (West Mifflin, Pa./Fox Chapel) single to bring Tanilli around.
  • Gannon scored the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh as the Lady Knights strung together three two-out hits by Kellyn Perich (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township), Sarah Ingerick (Middlebury Center, Pa./Wellsboro Area) and Taylor Wilp (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills). Gannon went up 2-1 on the Wilp liner to center.
