The Gannon University Volleyball Team traveled across Pennsylvania on Friday (Oct. 28) night to take on Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) rival East Stroudsburg. The Lady Knights battled their way to a 3-0 victory, 25-14, 25-15, 25-14.

th match at Gannon. With one more victory he will become only the second Gannon Volleyball Coach to reach that milestone.
The Lady Knights finished set one on a strong note. Up 22-14,
Lauren Beck (Chardon, Ohio/Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin) crushed two kills and
Kelsey Ansec (Solon, Ohio /Solon) added another. Gannon won the set 25-14.
Gannon also saw strong efforts in the second set. GU jumped out to a 10-1 lead before East Stroudsburg gathered traction. Â The Warriors couldn't inch closer and
Ally Smith (Penfield, N.Y./Webster Schroeder) finished the set with a kill for the Lady Knights, winning, 25-15.
East Stroudsburg had momentum at the beginning of set three. ESU grew a lead to 7-4 before Gannon stormed back and went on a 9-3 run. The Warriors were forced to call timeout down 13-10. Gannon kept the lead, winning the set, 25-14.
Sara Crandall (Cattaraugus, N.Y./Cattaraugus-Little Valley) was strong on the defensive front. She provided 15 digs, adding to her recent 1,000
th dig against Slippery Rock. Crandall joined teammates
Hannah Kren (Waukesha, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) and Jordan Thiery in the 1,000 dig club.
The Lady Knights improved to 21-3 overall and 10-2 in the PSAC.
East Stroudsburg dips to 11-15, 3-9 in the conference.
GU pushes its series lead to 14-1 over the Warriors.
Gannon will be back on the road on Saturday, Oct. 29, in a match at Kutztown University. Kutztown has a record of 4-18, 1-10 in the conference.Â
