The Short Story: The Gannon women's volleyball team completed the weekend of Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action winning both matches Saturday at the Hammermill Center in Erie, Pa. The Lady Knights defeated Shippensburg in the first match 25-22, 22-25, 25-22 and 25-23 and defeated Millersville in the final match of the weekend, 25-17, 17-25, 25-19, and 25-19.

HOW IT HAPPENED MATCH ONE
Score: Gannon 3, Shippensburg 1 (25-22, 22-25, 25-22 , 25-23)

THE BASICS

• Gannon jumped out to a 5-2, before Shippensburg pulled within one.
• The Lady Knights extended their lead scoring four consecutive points taking a 21-13 lead.
• The Raiders responded tallying five consecutive points and pulling within four, 22-18.
• Gannon held on for the 25-22 in the first set.
• Trailing 6-2 in the second set, Gannon went on a 5-1 run to tie the set at 7-7.
• Gannon tallied four consecutive points taking a 14-12 lead over the Raiders.
• Shippensburg took the lead back, 21-19 scoring three consecutive points, before Gannon tied the set at 21-all.
• Shippensburg went on a 4-1 to win the set 25-22.

THE BASICS

• Millersville took a 5-4 lead, before Gannon went on a 5-1 run taking a 10-7 lead.
• Gannon extend their lead by six taking a 17-11 lead over the Marauders.
• Gannon went on a 5-3 run taking the first set 25-17.
• Millersville jumped out to a 7-3 lead in the second set, before the Lady Knights tied the set at 9-9.
• The Marauders tallied six consecutive points taking the second set, 25-17 over Gannon.
• Gannon took a 5-1 lead over Millersville, but the Marauders tallied five consecutive points taking the lead 8-7.
• Gannon took back the lead 18-14 with four consecutive points.
• The Lady Knights went on a 7-2 run taking the third set 25-19.
• In the fourth set, Gannon took a 4-2 lead and never looked back.
• The Lady Knights recorded four consecutive points taking a 24-18 lead over Millersville.
