QUOTABLES BY COACH DARLING

  • "We're happy to get a win in our home opener tonight, and we were thrilled with the great crowd that turned out tonight to make it an exciting atmosphere.  The team kept talking about how fun it was to play tonight; that's what it's all about.
  • "We had some problems at the service line tonight, and we'll need to reduce the number of errors we're making; but, at the same time, we're seeing some good results from our aggressive play.  I think that, as the year goes on, we'll even out some of the rough spots."
  • "I continue to be impressed with the play of Kelsey Ansec, who was great again tonight, and Hannah does what Hannah does."

UP NEXT
  • The Lady Knights return to the court tomorrow morning, when they host Ursuline at 10 a.m. of the second day in the Gannon-Mercyhurst Invitational at the Hammermill Center.
