ERIE, Pa. – The Gannon-Mercyhurst Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) softball doubleheader scheduled for Saturday, March 21, at GU Field has been postponed due to rain resulting in unplayable field conditions. A rescheduled date for the doubleheader has yet to be determined.
 
Gannon owns a 6-5 overall record this season following a week-long stretch to open the month of March at the National Training Center in Clermont, Fla. The Lady Knights posted a 5-1 mark against NCAA Atlantic Region competition.
 
The Lady Knights have been idle since their trip to the National Training Center due to either weather or field conditions. GU has watched its last 10 games postponed or canceled including a trip to Virginia.
 
Gannon will open its conference slate in doubleheader action at Indiana (Pa.) at Podbielski Field March 23. The twinbill is set to begin at 2:30 p.m. Visit gannonsports.com for schedule updates.
