- Cedarville captured a 1-0 lead in the top of the second. With runners at the corners, the Yellow Jackets managed to score on a Gannon throwing error.
- Gannon tied the game at 1-1 in the bottom half of the inning. Following a single down the right-field line by junior Alyssa Bates (Greensburg, Pa. / Hempfield) to open the frame, freshman Jackie Martinez (Phoenix, Ariz. / Xavier College Prep) also reached on a base hit. On a ground out to short by junior Alexa Archambeault (Horseheads, N.Y. / Horseheads), Bates managed to score to knot the game at one each.
- Leading off the third and fourth innings with a double, the Lady Knights took advantage in the fourth to take a 2-1 lead. A leadoff double by sophomore Jen Moran (West Mifflin, Pa. / Fox Chapel ) put the Lady Knights in scoring position. Following a sacrifice bunt, Archambeault drove in Moran on an RBI-single to left field.
