  • It was the start of nine consecutive goals during the opening 21 minutes. Seven different Lady Knights scored during the run and four different Gannon players recorded an assist.

  • After seven minutes and 48 seconds of scoreless action, Lake Erie finally got on the board with 1:58 left in the first half. The goal cut the deficit to 9-1 at the intermission.
  • Lake Erie netted the opening goal of the second half, before Gannon produced a running clock with three straight scores. Again, it was a balanced attack with three different goal scorers. Junior Becky Hilker's (Bowmanville, Ontario/Clarington Central SS) second goal of the match gave the Lady Knights a 12-2 edge 5:01 into the second half.
  • Another mini 3-0 run later pushed the Gannon lead to 15-3 with 17:47 to play. Freshman Kierstyn Haight (Oshawa, Ontario/Maxwell Heights) produced two of the three goals.
  • Gannon held a 17-4 lead, before Lake Erie tallied three of the contest's four goals during the final two minutes and 42 seconds. The late flurry accounted for the final 18-7 Lady Knight victory.
