Kren Named to Daktronics Atlantic Region Second-Team and AVCA Division II All-Atlantic Region Team



ERIE, Pa. – Junior Hannah Kren (Waukesha, Wisc./Wisconsin Lutheran) of the Gannon women's volleyball team was named to the Daktronics NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Second Team and earned Division II All-Atlantic Region team recognication by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) both announced Wednesday afternoon.

Kren was named to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division First Team in mid-November. The junior outside hitter ranked second in the PSAC for kills (430), while ranking 15th among PSAC players in digs (421) and 22nd in hitting percentage (.232).

The Waukesha, Wisc. native has registered a double-double in 18 matches this season, including three in the final four matches.  She leads the Lady Knights in kills per set (3.94) and points per set (4.53), while ranking second in digs per set (3.86).

During the regular season, Kren recorded 15 or more kills in 13 matches and eclipsed 20 or more in three matches. She set a new career-high with 29 kills and 20 digs at Slippery Rock on October 10.

Gannon complied a 22-10 overall record this season. For the seventh consecutive season, the Lady Knights have reached the 20-win mark, and clinched a berth in the PSAC Tournament and qualified for the Atlantic Regional tournament making the Lady Knights the only team in Gannon history to earn post-season bids in seven straight years.

The No. 6 seed Lady Knights open NCAA Atlantic Regional Tournament action against PSAC Eastern Division opponent and No. 3 seed Shippensburg, December 3 with the first serve at Noon.
