ERIE, Pa. - Sophomore Hannah Kren (Waukesha, Wisc. / Wisconsin Lutheran) of the Gannon women's volleyball team was named to the Daktronics NCAA Division II Atlantic Region First Team, as announced earlier this week. Determined by the region's sports information directors, the selection was the first of her career.
 
Last week, Kren landed on the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division First Team for the first time in her career after being named the division's Freshman of the Year and second-team selection last season. She joined three other Lady Knights to earn a place on this season's all-conference teams.
 
The Waukesha, Wisc., native has registered a double-double in 19 matches this season, collecting 15 in her last 17 appearances. She currently leads the Lady Knights in kills per set (3.74) and points per set (4.13), while ranking second in digs per set (3.90).
 
Kren sits atop the conference in kills per set and ranks 42nd in the category among Division II leaders. She occupies a spot among the conference's top-5 leaders in three additional categories ranking second in points per set, third in attacks per set (10.39) and fifth in total kills (363).
 
Compiling a 24-6 overall mark this season, Gannon will make its sixth-consecutive appearance at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Nov. 20-22, hosted by top-seed Wheeling Jesuit. The No. 5 seed Lady Knights open action against PSAC Western Division opponent and No. 4 seed Seton Hill Nov. 20. The match is set for 5 p.m.
