WHEELING, W. Va. - The Gannon women's volleyball team will make its fifth consecutive appearance in the NCAA Atlantic Regional when the No. 6 seed Lady Knights face Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) opponent and No. 3 seed the California (Pa.) Vulcans in the opening round on Thursday at noon. The Lady Knights and Vulcans will battle on a neutral court at the Alma Grace McDonough Center on the campus of top-seed Wheeling Jesuit.
TICKETS
Admission for each day is $10 for adults and $5 for students. In addition, an all-session pass is available for $25. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door on game day.

- The Gannon Lady Knights earned their fifth-consecutive trip to the NCAA Atlantic Regional when the team was awarded the No. 6 seed, drawing PSAC opponent California (Pa.) in the opening round.
- Making their fifth-straight appearance in the PSAC Semifinals, the Gannon Lady Knights fell to eventual conference-champion Pitt-Johnstown, 3-1, on Nov. 22 at Heiges Field House in Shippensburg, Pa.
- Freshman Hannah Kren was named the PSAC West Division Rookie of the Year in the conference postseason awards. Kren and junior Megan Wendel were each named to the All-PSAC Second Team.

- The 2013 Mountain East Conference (MEC) champion Wheeling Jesuit Cardinals captured their sixth consecutive conference tournament crown with a sweep of Fairmont State on Nov. 23. The Cardinals posted a perfect 19-0 record in conference action en route to the team title.
- For the second year in a row, the Cardinals will serve as the host of the NCAA Atlantic Regional.
- The Cardinals swept the post-season MEC awards with senior Jenna Pew named Player of the Year, Haley Kindall named Freshman of the Year and head coach Christy Benner named Coach of the Year.

- The PSAC West champion Clarion Golden Eagles' run in the 2013 PSAC Tournament came to a screeching halt with a 3-1 loss to Gannon at home in the quarterfinals on Nov. 19. The PSAC West Division top-seed recorded a season-low .104 hitting percentage in the loss.
- The Golden Eagles are making their 10th trip to the NCAA Regional in the past 12 seasons.
- In the PSAC West Division post-season honors, junior Laura Subject was named Athlete of the Year and head coach Jennifer Mills received Coach of the Year.

- Reaching the 2013 PSAC title match, the California (Pa.) Vulcans fell to Pitt-Johnstown in a five-set battle at Heiges Field House in Shippensburg, Pa. on Nov. 23. The Vulcans were awarded an at-large bid in the NCAA Atlantic Regional after posting a 28-8 overall record and a 19-3 mark in the PSAC.
- The Vulcans are appearing in their 10th straight appearance in the national tournament.
- Four Vulcans landed on the All-PSAC West Division teams including senior Molly Delaney and junior Laurel Miller on the first team. Both were also named to the Daktronics All-Atlantic Region teams.

- The Shippensburg Raiders completed the regular season atop the PSAC Eastern Division. On their home court as the West Division top-seed, the Raiders dropped a 3-1 decision to conference runner-up California (Pa.) in the 2013 PSAC Semifinals.
- Senior Jill Edwards was named the PSAC Eastern Division Athlete of the Year and head coach Leanne Piscotty was named the Eastern Division Coach of the Year for the second straight season with the Raiders.

- Pitt-Johnstown made the most of their first year in the PSAC, capturing the team crown with a 3-2 win over California (Pa.). The Lady Cats defeated reigning PSAC champion Gannon, 3-1, in the semifinals to reach the title match. The win over California (Pa.) earned the team an automatic bid to the NCAA Atlantic Regional, the team's first appearance in the national tournament.
- Finishing second in the PSAC East Division, the Lady Cats earned four All-PSAC selections with outside-hitter Marissa Erminio being named the PSAC Eastern Division Rookie of the Year.

- Junior Corrine Gahagen was named to the Daktronics All-Atlantic Region Second Team for the second time in her career. Among PSAC West-Division honors, Gahagen was also named to the first team, while sophomore Lauren Teed was named the Defensive Athlete of the Year.
