CLARION, Pa. - The Gannon women's volleyball team will look to defend its Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) title beginning with a quarterfinal match at Clarion at the Tippin Gymnasium on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. In the PSAC Western Division, the Lady Knights enter the conference tournament as the No. 4 seed, while the Golden Eagles hold the top seed.
TICKETS
Students from any PSAC institution will be admitted to the match free of charge with a valid student ID. In following the PSAC ticket guidelines, adult prices are $7 and students from non-PSAC institutions are $2. Tickets will be available for purchase on game day at the gate.

GAME NOTES
- Gannon finished the regular season with a pair of home wins over the Seton Hill Griffins and California (Pa.) Vulcans on the weekend of Nov. 15. Seton Hill entered the weekend third in the West, while the Vulcans were tied with Clarion for the West's top-spot.
- In the Lady Knights' 3-1 win over Seton Hill on Nov. 15 at the Hammermill Center, the team punched its ticket to the postseason for the fifth consecutive season.
- Four Lady Knights rank among the top five in various PSAC categories. Sophomore Morgan Walters (Girard, Ohio / Girard) ranks first in aces per set (0.49), junior Megan Wendel (Aurora, Ohio / Kenston) is second in assists per set (9.88), junior Taryn Graham (Huron, Ohio / Huron) is fifth in digs per set (4.92) and freshman Hannah Kren (Waukesha, Wisc. / Wisconsin Lutheran) is fifth in kills per set (3.43).
- The Lady Knights enter the postseason on a three-match win streak, while posting a much-improved record of 5-2 in the month of November after going 5-6 in October.
PSAC TOURNAMENT HISTORY
- Gannon looks to defend its team title in the 2013 PSAC Tournament. Last season, the West Division top-seed Lady Knights rallied from a 2-0 deficit against East Division top-seed Lock Haven at the Hammermill Center on Nov. 17, to capture their first team-title in program history. The Lady Knights' postseason run was the first time they moved beyond the PSAC quarterfinals.
- After missing a spot in their first eligible-postseason in the conference, the Lady Knights have earned a bid each season since 2008.
- Gannon and Clarion will meet for the second time at the PSAC Tournament. In 2010, the eventual team-champion Golden Eagles swept the Lady Knights in the quarterfinals.

GAME NOTES
- Clarion concluded the regular season with a split on the road, dropping a 3-1 decision to Edinboro to open the weekend before bouncing back with a sweep of Slippery Rock.
- Before the loss to the Fighting Scots, the Golden Eagles were riding a seven-game win streak.
- Among the NCAA Division II national rankings, the Golden Eagles rank eighth in winning percentage (.912) in games thru Nov. 17.
- The Golden Eagles are atop the PSAC in assists per set (12.81), kills per set (13.77) and digs per set (17.90).
- Among conference individual leaders, two Golden Eagles rank in the top five in hitting percentage with Corinne Manley in second (.321) and Hannah Heeter in fifth (.315). The Golden Eagles also have two among the top six in kills per set, as Emily Stewart ranks second (3.79) and Carlie Bieranowski occupies seventh (3.03).
PSAC TOURNAMENT HISTORY
- Clarion has captured two PSAC team titles in program history. The first came in 1988 followed by their second in 2010.
- Since 1991, the Golden Eagles have earned a spot in the PSAC Tournament on six occasions. In their six appearances, the Golden Eagles have moved onto the semifinals four times and the title match twice.Â
- The Golden Eagles bowed out in the 2013 PSAC Tournament Quarterfinals to No. 2 seed California (Pa.), 3-1.
