INDIANA, Pa. - The Gannon volleyball team wrapped up action at the PSAC-WVIAC Crossover tournament with a pair of 3-0 wins Saturday. The Lady Knights defeated West Virginia Wesleyan (25-22, 25-17, 25-18) and Alderson Broaddus (25-11, 25-14, 25-14) to conclude tournament.
“I'm very happy to come out of this weekend with three wins," said head coach
Matt Darling. "Although I still think we haven't hit our stride yet this season, there were things that I really liked this weekend.
Sarah Glancy was terrific. I've been hoping that someone on the team would be willing to extend her game beyond her comfort zone to help the team, and Sarah did that. If a few more players put in that kind of mental and physical effort every match, we can get where we want to be.”
Gannon improved to 8-2 this season and will open up PSAC crossover play Friday, September 21 with matches against Millersville and Lock Haven.
