ERIE, Pa. - After playing just one of their first 14 matches at home this season, the Gannon Lady Knights will host four matches at the Hammermill Center in two days. Gannon will host matches on Friday, October 8 against Shippensburg (12 noon) and Millersville (7:30) and Saturday, October 9 against East Stroudsburg (12:30) and Lock Haven (5:30) as part of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East-West Crossover Tournament.

Gannon enters the match with a 9-5 record overall and 3-6 in PSAC matches. The Lady Knights are looking to bounce back after dropping a pair of PSAC matches last weekend.
Gannon will rely on the defense of
Kara Cullen, (Marstons Mills, Mass. / Barnstable) who is currently sixth in the country in blocks per set at 1.28.
Lauren Sazama (St. Louis, Mo. / Oakville) was Gannon's top offensive player during last weekend's road trip and is 19th in the country in aces per set (.64)
The first match of the weekend will feature the Lady Knights taking on Shippensburg. The Red Raiders are led by Jill Edwards' 242 kills this season. Shippensburg is 10-10 this season with a 3-6 record in PSAC matches.
Later that night Gannon will return to the court to take on Millersville at 7:30 p.m. The Marauders are currently fifth in the PSAC East with a 1-6 record. Allison Huss leads the team in kills with 163, while Mary Paul has 55 blocks this season.
On Saturday, Gannon will take to the court at 12:30 for a match up with East Stroudsburg. During the 2009 season Gannon swept the Warriors 3-0 in crossover play. Gannon is 7-1 all-time against East Stroudsburg.
The final match of the weekend for the Lady Knights will come against Lock Haven. Gannon lost for the first time ever to Lock Haven last season as the Bald Eagles swept Gannon 3-0.
