Freeman led the Gannon women's basketball team to a perfect 3-0 record at last weekend's North Star Invitational where she was named Most Valuable Player. Freeman captured her second tournament MVP award of the season, being named MVP of the Disney Tip-Off Classic in early November. The senior guard averaged 18.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, two assists, 1.7 steals and one block during three games at the North Star Invitational. She shot 50 percent (18-36) from the field and 85.7 percent (18-21) from the free throw line. The Yonkers, N.Y., native recorded a career-high 31 points, 12 rebounds and four steals during an 81-75 double-overtime victory against Henderson State. It represented her first career double-double. She posted 16 points and seven rebounds in the second half after being limited to six minutes in the first half due to foul trouble. Freeman added 11 points, three rebounds and three steals in the two overtime sessions. She finished 13-of-15 from the charity stripe.
