Bowers was Gannon's top wrestler at last weekend's East Stroudsburg Open. The senior won the 133-pound title with a 5-0 record, beating opponents from three Division I schools (Rutgers, North Carolina, and Drexel), on his way to first place. He recorded two pinfalls, including a pin at the 4:51 mark of the championship match. It marked Bowers' second individual title of the season. He won at the National Catholic Invitational November 7. Bowers is 14-1 this season.
