Sapp, a graduate student from Deerfield, Ohio, allowed just two hits to the hard-hitting Mercyhurst Lakers last Saturday and earned his third complete-game shutout. He walked two and struck out a career-high 15 batters, three shy of the school record. He wrapped up his gem by striking out the side in the seventh inning to improve to 4-0 on the season. Over his last three starts, Sapp has allowed 10 hits and 6 walks in 21 innings while striking out 28. He tossed a three-hitter in his previous start against Cal, which was also a 1-0 win. Prior to that he limited D'Youville to five hits in a 2-0 victory.
