Eric Sapp, a graduate student from Deerfield, Ohio, tossed a three-hit shutout in Gannon’s game one victory (1-0) over Cal U on March 25. He allowed just three singles, walked one, and struck out seven on his way to his second consecutive complete game shutout—the first Gannon pitcher to do so since David Crick during the 2018 season. Previously, Sapp blanked D’Youville with a seven-inning, five-hit, and six strikeout performance on March 17.
