Francique was also named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division Women’s Soccer Player of the Week.
Francique led Gannon to a perfect 2-0 week, defeating Wheeling Jesuit (4-1) and Mercyhurst (4-2). The true freshman helped Gannon extend its unbeaten streak to six matches after starting the season 1-3. She has scored in five consecutive matches, including the game-winner in two of those contests.
The Brampton, Ontario native recorded four goals and one assist during last week’s two matches, netting a pair of goals in both affairs. She scored the first two goals of the match against Wheeling Jesuit, including the game-winner.
Francique ended the week by helping Gannon defeat Mercyhurst for the first time in school history. She scored the contest’s first goal and then iced the victory with Gannon’s final goal in the 84th minute. The forward also assisted on the game-tying goal in the 64th minute. Francique is tied for the team lead in goals (7), assists (3), and points (17) through 10 matches.
