Demetrius Mims was voted MVP of the 37th Annual Gary Miller Classic basketball tournament after scoring a season-high 29 points on 14-of-26 shooting in Saturday’s championship-clinching 86-76 victory over Saint Michael’s College. Mims added nine rebounds, three steals, and a block in that contest in addition to 14 points and six rebounds in Friday night’s 99-63 win over D’Youville. Demetrius is averaging 17 points, seven rebounds, and 28 minutes per game so far this season.
