Ashley Beyers had an incredible week--setting the new Gannon University women's volleyball career assists record along the way--but more importantly helped the Golden Knights sweep two matches (against Slippery Rock and Cal U) to propel the team into the postseason.

Beyers surpassed the previous career assists mark of 4,244 set by Megan Wendell—which had stood since 2014—by tallying 37 assists in last Friday’s 3-0 sweep of Slippery Rock. Beyers added 36 assists the next day in the win over Cal U and the new career assists record now stands at 4,307 with plenty of postseason action yet to come. Beyers leads all Gannon players with 97 total sets played this fall and has started and played in 29 matches. She has already notched 1,030 assists this fall, shy of her 1,411 season-high mark from 2019 in which she played in 125 total sets.
