Nixon went 2-0 Sunday to win the 285-pound title at the NCAA Super Region 1 Championships. The senior earned a 4-2 win in the semifinals before wrestling for a full 11 minutes in a double-overtime 3-2 victory over Pitt-Johnstown's Allan Beattie in the final. Nixon became a three-time national qualifier with the win, helping the Golden Knights to the first team title in program history in the process.
