In his first game since being named Gannon’s starting quarterback, Boedicker led the Gannon football team to a come-from-behind 35-34 victory over Lake Erie. The junior quarterback produced 288 yards of total offense, accounting for 69 percent of Gannon’s offensive yards. He was 16-of-22 for 222 yards and two touchdowns through the air. In addition, he rushed for 66 yards on 11 carries. He completed three passes during a six-play, 60-yard drive that resulted in a touchdown with 6:36 to play, cutting the deficit to 34-28. Gannon got the ball back at its own 20-yard line with 2:54 to play. On fourth-and-15, he completed a 44-yard pass to keep the drive going. Boedicker then threw a two-yard touchdown pass with 57 seconds left to cap the comeback. He rushed or threw for 76 of the 80 yards on the winning drive. He set career-highs in passing yards and total offensive yards in the victory. He tied career-highs in pass completions and passing touchdowns.
