Sazama was also named PSAC Western Division Volleyball Player of the Week after beginning her collegiate career by leading Gannon to a perfect 3-0 record at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell Tournament last weekend. The Lady Knights posted victories over the University of Massachusetts-Lowell (3-0), Franklin Pierce (3-0), and Merrimack (3-2). The St. Louis, Mo., native led Gannon in kills per game (3.82), aces per game (0.82), and digs per game (3.64). She recorded a double-double (kills-digs) in every match. Sazama began the weekend with 10 kills and 13 digs during a sweep of the host school. The true freshman then had 15 kills and 13 digs during a sweep of Franklin Pierce. She concluded the tournament with 17 kills, seven aces, and 14 digs during a 3-2 victory over Merrimack. Defensively, Sazama produced a .979 reception percentage, making only one error in 48 receptions during the tournament. The outside hitter finished with 42 kills, three assists, nine aces, and 40 digs in 11 games.
