Lakatos needed only one at-bat to earn Gannon Female Student-Athlete of the Week honors. The true freshman had only 10 at-bats during her first 21 collegiate games. However, she was called upon in a critical situation with the bases loaded and Gannon trailing 4-3 last Sunday against Slippery Rock. With one out in the bottom of the fifth inning, Lakatos came off the bench and drilled an 0-1 pitch over the left field fence for a pinch-hit grand slam to give the Lady Knights a 7-4 lead. Those runs eventually stood up and provided Gannon with the fifth victory of its current six-game win streak. The blast represented Lakatos' first career home run. She is now hitting .364 with an .818 slugging percentage and eight RBIs in 11 at-bats.
