Cowan helped the No. 6 Gannon acrobatics and tumbling team defeat No. 15 West Liberty 270.50-230.66 last Saturday at the Hammermill Center. The senior was also named Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Athlete of the Week for the second time this year after her performance against the Hilltoppers. She aided the Lady Knights with seven heat scores of 9.2 or better. The Lady Knights' top heat with Cowan produced a score of 9.95 in the inversion pyramid. Gannon won all seven heats Cowan was a part of. In the team event, Cowan and the Lady Knights scored a 94.15 to seal the victory in favor of Gannon. The Lady Knights improved to 4-2 overall this season, the best start through six meets in program history.
