Smith helped the Gannon women's volleyball team win the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional championship hosted by Wheeling Jesuit last weekend. The sophomore outside hitter averaged 4.64 kills, 3.36 digs, 0.36 blocks and 4.95 points during a perfect 3-0 tournament. She hit .278, recording 51 kills in 126 attempts. Smith opened the regional championship with her 13th double-double of the season during a 3-1 victory against Shippensburg, producing a career-high 20 kills and 12 digs. Smith followed with her 14th double-double during a 3-1 win against Pitt-Johnstown the next night, recording 18 kills and 17 digs. She then hit .313 during a 3-0 sweep of Wheeling Jesuit in the finals, finishing with 13 kills and eight digs. Smith committed only three errors in 32 attacks against the Cardinals. Gannon advanced to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight for the fourth time in school history and first time since 1993.
