Rehrer led the Gannon men's water polo team to a seventh-place finish at the Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Championships last weekend at the U.S. Naval Academy. The junior goalkeeper totaled 43 saves in three matches, averaging 14.3 per contest. He began the championships with 15 saves and three steals during a tight 10-7 loss to NCAA Division I George Washington, before adding 11 saves and two steals during a 12-11 setback against Johns Hopkins the next day. Rehrer propelled Gannon to a 13-12 triple-overtime win against rival Mercyhurst during the seventh-place bout with 17 saves and three steals. In the process, he reached double digits in saves for the ninth time this season. Rehrer shattered Gannon's single-season save record with 334, surpassing current head coach Sean Morphy's previous record of 283 set in 2002. Rehrer concluded his junior campaign with 804 career saves, needing 190 more to break Morphy's school record set between 2001-04.
