Taraska led the Gannon women's swimming team to a 2-1 record last weekend during a Quad-Meet at Case Western. The Lady Knights defeated Grove City (195-94) and the University of Rochester (149-142), but fell to the host school (181-112). Taraska was a double individual winner, touching the wall first in the 50-yard freestyle (24.47) and 100-yard freestyle (53.70). The true freshman also swam the anchor leg for runner-up finishes in the 200-yard medley (1:51.21) and 200-yard freestyle (1:40.16). She recorded Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifying times during the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle events. In fact, Taraska has produced a conference-qualifying time during every individual event she has swam in this season. Her 100-yard freestyle time at the Case Western Quad-Meet represented her best of the season while her 50-yard freestyle performance ranked second.
