Folgate led the Gannon men's cross country team to a first-place finish at the Gannon/Mercyhurst Invitational last Saturday with an 8k time of 28 minutes and 13.9 seconds. The senior won his first career title during the final regular-season event of his collegiate career. He had previously placed between fourth and sixth among Golden Knights during Gannon’s prior five events this season. Gannon captured a team title for the fourth time in six tries this season after also placing first at the Fredonia State Invitational, Bethany Invitational and Harry F. Anderson Invitational. The Golden Knights have won four races in the same season for the first time since at least 1997.
