Conney exploded for 16 goals during three matches against NCAA Division I opponents last Saturday at the George Washington Women's Water Polo Invitational. The junior began the day with five goals and one steal during an 8-7 victory against St. Francis (Pa.), scoring all three Lady Knight goals during the first two quarters en route to a 3-2 halftime lead. She followed with another five goals against Virginia Military Institute, including three of the four first-half scores. Cooney concluded the day with a season-high six goals and one assist against George Washington. She found the back of the net three times each during the second and fourth quarters. Conney jumped two former student-athletes and moved into seventh place all-time at Gannon with 129 career goals.
