Mitchell averaged 25.7 points and 4.3 rebounds in three games last week for the Gannon women's basketball team against Shepherd, West Chester and Cheyney. The junior guard shot 50 percent from three-point range, hitting 15-of-30 attempts. She missed only one of 19 free throw attempts, equaling a 94.7 percentage. Mitchell began the week with a career-high 30 points and six rebounds against Shepherd. She was perfect in 10 free throw attempts against the Rams. Mitchell then opened a PSAC crossover road trip with 23 points, six three-pointers and four assists at West Chester. She concluded the weekend with 24 points, five three-pointers, five rebounds and four assists during a 67-57 victory at Cheyney. Mitchell netted 10 points during the fourth quarter when Gannon overcome a four-point deficit by out-scoring Cheyney 23-9. She leads the PSAC in three-pointers per game (3.8) through five contests. Mitchell ranks second in points per game (20.4) and third in three-point field goal percentage (46.3).
